Birdsall Charity 24 Hour Bike Ride

On the 18^th/19^th June 2011 'The Costadors' will be attempting to cycle around the famous GOODWOOD motor racing circuit for 24Hours non-stop, in a relay race, with the main aim of raising as much money as possible for Action Medical Research.

Action Medical Research`s aim is to improve the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of childhood disease and disability by funding the highest quality research most likely to bring benefits to babies, children and their families, which include

• giving more babies a better start – tackling life-threatening pregnancy complications, reducing premature birth and improving care for sick babies
• stopping suffering in children – finding ways to protect children from deadly infections, improving quality of life for children with disabilities, and tackling both rare and common childhood diseases
• improving health for all – developing new treatments and techniques to address a range of conditions that can affect both the young and the old
