Birdsall Sponsors GLL Sport Foundation

The GLL Sport Foundation was launched in 2008 by its Patron Sally Gunnell. The aim of the foundation is to assist the development and success of young sports people. GLL Sport Foundation targets both financial support and free training membership to talented young sports people within the Boroughs where GLL operates its 65 leisure facilities. The support is designed to offer practical help and nurture talent striving for national and international success.

In 2009 602 young athletes have received assistance from this foundation, making it one of the largest independent supporters of athletes in London. Without sponsorship this foundation would not exist and many young athletes would not be given the opportunities which they are now offered. Birdsall are extremely proud to be part of this foundation as we believe that more emphasis should be placed upon the positive impacts of sporting activities within communities.
