HRH Princess Alexandra visits the British Home

H.R.H Princess Alexandra Visits The British Home

The British Home is an independent charity providing specialist care for people with long term illnesses and severe disabilities. The Patron of The British Home is HRH Princess Alexandra who visited the Home on Tuesday 18th May 2010. She was welcomed by the Mayor of Lambeth and children from Crown Lane Primary School.

The Princess unveiled a plaque inaugurating the Noelle Kelly Room named after former Matron and House Governor for over 20 years. During her visit, Princess Alexandra met many residents, volunteers and staff including Birdsall’s onsite facilities management team, our Managing Director, Chairman, Website Manager (John pictured to the right with the Princess) and our Marketing Coordinator.

Afternoon tea was served on the lawn in a marquee donated by Birdsall while the Earl Grey Band added musical entertainment.
