R22- What do you need to know?

As you may know R22 is a word that keeps coming up when talking about air conditioning & refrigeration systems. The reason for this.... Come January !st 2015 no one will be able to use this refrigerant again.

What is available?

As it stands at the moment there are several options available with regards to R22 refigerant: Reclaimed, Recyscled and Recovered. We are still able to utlise R22 in the above forms but this is becoming increasingly more expensive and the "quick fix" option is NOT a long tem fix.

Key points you should remember:

If a system operates on R22 then it could be over 10 years old. Some manufactures have already ceased production on spare parts for systems operating on R22. These systems are not energy efficient or environmentally friendly in compariosn to the new systems.
